We just got back from a wonderful two week vacation to Texas!!! I am so glad we went! We were able to hang out with everyone in Jeremy's family but Alison--we missed you a lot Alison!--and had fun just being home and also running around different places. We did a lot but it was very relaxing. Thank you Shakespears for an awesome time! The next few posts show some of the fun things we were able to do...I just wish we had taken even more pictures!

COUSIN LOVE...Hyrum has never been "affectionate" with other kids before, he'll play with them maybe or he'll just look at them curiously but if they get too close watch out! But he just loves his cousins, he actually was the one to snuggle up to Kylie to give her hugs. It just about melted my heart! Oh how I wish we lived closer!!!!

We had lots of fun at home in Austin too! Jeremy's parents live on a river so we were able to go swimming there one day. Hyrum really loved Nana's 3 dogs and would follow them around constantly :) Hyrum also had fun in their fountain with Poppi a couple times. We went down town Austin to see the capitol building, go out to eat at a Texas bbq restaurant-love those baby back ribs!- and to a park to play. We were also able to spend some time with Jeremy's brother Stephen, sister Jennie and brother in law Matt.

On a boat ride with Nana at Aquarena Springs-what a beautiful place!

One day we drove down to San Antonio to visit the Alamo and the famous Riverwalk. It was rainy all day which was so nice because it kept things cool! Hyrum really enjoyed all the puddles and rocks to throw at the Alamo and was excited for the boat ride down the river. It was a very fun day and again I was so impressed with how beautiful Texas is!

We spent a weekend with Jeremy's brother Joel, our sister in law Stacie and their kids Cole and Kylie. We had a blast!!! We went to the Fort Worth zoo and to the botanical gardens nearby. Everything was so gorgeous and green. Hyrum enjoyed his first trip to the zoo, I think his favorite animals were the monkeys. It was so fun to be able to play with family for a few days!

Luckily for us our great friends Abbie, Forrest, and Eli are living in Dallas so we were able to spend almost a whole day with them! Hyrum and Eli are best friends but they haven't seen each other since Hyrum was five months and Eli was two months so they had some catching up to do...we wish we lived closer to you guys!!!

Jeremy, Hyrum and I went to a great Aquarium in Dallas and enjoyed the beautiful park surrounding it. Texas has some gorgeous flowers and trees!!!

How addicted are you???

We just got back from a wonderful three week visit to Washington with my family!!! We went for my brother Brigg and sister in law Havalah's wedding reception and decided to stay a while longer. It was such a nice vacation. I fell in love all over again with the Northwest and my family :) We made lots of great memories. I think I went a little crazy with all the pictures, but the next NINE posts show some of the things we were able to do. Thanks Mom and Dad (and Darlin' and Pa) for letting us come and stay with you!!!!

I have always wanted to take Jeremy to a Mariner's baseball game because that was a tradition for our family to get sub sandwich's, chips, peanuts, and candy bars and head up to the game. It was so much fun!!! And we won to make it even better! Hyrum was a champ too, even though it was pretty late for him, he was in a great mood and even stuck out his tongue and gave high five's to the people behind us :)

We spent a fun day in downtown Olympia. We played in the water fountain and went for a walk by the capitol. Then in the evening we went out to eat on the boardwalk and enjoyed strolling along the Sound.
