Guess what I've been up to the last few months?

Yes, laying on the couch a lot, trying to sleep, rest, relax & ignore the mayhem that 4 kids can & will create. Well not really lately but for the months of July & August & a itty bitty part of September.
Any guesses as to why?
That's right, Shakespear baby #5 is on the way!!!!!!
Things have been a bit different this time around. Besides my parents, we didn't really tell anyone until recently. Like within the last 2 weeks. Usually I'm so excited I'm telling people we're thinking about trying to get pregnant :) But for some reason I just didn't want to tell anyone. But now everyone can know!
Also, Jeremy wouldn't let me take a pregnancy test because he says as soon as I do I get violently ill the same day or the day after so I never took a test. I don't know if it's because I didn't take a test or what but this pregnancy has been so easy compared to my last 3! It's nothing short of a miracle in my opinion. We were all ready to hire a nanny for 3 months but I never got anywhere near as sick as I always do. No hospital stays, no losing 15 pounds in 3 weeks, no throwing up every single thing I put in my mouth, no dehydration or taking Zofran-it was seriously amazing. Half of the days I didn't even throw up at all! Yay!
There's a good chance this will be our last kid. A huge part of me is happy & relieved about it. I love having kids but I don't like being pregnant, I'm feeling old & extra tired so it's nice thinking this will be the last time. But then once in a while I think having 6 kids would be great.
This has been a really neat experience for me. I have wanted 5 kids close together for a long time but had decided that I could only handle being pregnant 4 times. So when the twins came along I saw it as my chance to still get my 5 kids. The last 9 months or so both Jeremy & I have felt like someone was missing in our family & I've never felt that before now.
We have a friend that is an ultrasound tech so about 10 weeks along she snuck us in the back door for an early ultrasound. The only reason I wanted one was to make sure there was just ONE baby in there & not two. I cannot express in words how scared I was that we were having twins again so we definitely had a party that night celebrating only 1 baby!
Part of me dreads getting bigger & showing more, not just because of the whole feeling fat thing but I dread the looks & comments. I do not like attention so having four little kids in a row including twins is not the way to avoid attention! I know it shouldn't get to me but I just get tired of it-even the nice things people say. So I'm just assuming the looks & comments will be more abundant than ever. So here's to helping me get over that.
The first time we met our doctor
Doc: Sooooooo.....congratulations you guys
Us: Thank you
Doc: Are you excited about it?
Us: Yes we are very excited
Doc: A bit of a surprise though eh?
Us: (another glance) Um, nope, no surprise here
She didn't respond to that answer. It was kind of funny!
Gender: We have 3 votes for a girl & I think if Emma could form complete sentences she would vote for a girl too so it really should be 4 votes girl & 2 undecided. All 3 of my older boys want a girl. Hyrum & Hunter are pretty much set in having a girl so if it's a boy I think they'll be a little disappointed. They both go around the house saying 'There are 4 boys & 3 girls. Two on the outside & 1 in your tummy!' I told Hunter the other day 'It could be another boy you know' & he said 'But it's really a girl Mommy'. I would love it either way. I think it would be fun for Emma to have a sister but I love my little boys & I would love to have another boy. I've always wanted maybe 1 girl & lots of boys. And who knows what Justin's vote is.
I'm due the end of February/beginning of March & we find out TOMORROW the gender so stay tuned for that. And I hope to get a more definite due date then.
I'm getting so excited to snuggle a little infant again!!!! Hooray!!! I feel like I really missed out on that with the twins, it was just too crazy having both of them, it will be nice to only have one to take care of & snuggle :)
