Flower Girl

Our friend's Mike & Audrey got married this week & asked Emma to be their flower girl.  She loved getting a new dress, new shoes & a basket.  I was surprised she walked the aisle & stood in line the whole time (I don't think any of the boys would have done it!)  She cried when we got home because I don't think she wanted it to end. She was so cute!!!

Balloons & stuff

We went on a day trip to Branson to a hot air balloon festival thing.  We haven't done many day trips or really any since Dallen was born.  It was a gorgeous fall day!

This picture is completely 100% not posed.  Really, promise!  Haha, just kidding but it's still really cute anyway right?  And they do hug each other, just usually more in a wrestling type of way.

Justin was terrified of that clown balloon well, really of all of them so he stayed far away.  I can't really blame him for being scared of the clown one!

And guess who we stood right next to during the dance/singing performances?  That's right Greg Brady you know from The Brady Bunch (I have no idea what his real name might be).  He looks like this but like 50 years older.  So, ya', I guess you don't have to be in Hollywood to see movie, or, um TV stars =)

Here are some pictures of just around the house this past week

We have the coolest side yard after it rains

Mobile Baby

I love this picture.  I love this baby so much.  I'm afraid I spoil him in some ways but I just can't help it - he's the sweetest thing.  He has been doing this scooting/lunge thing to get around the last couple weeks.  But today he actually crawled, just a few little crawls here & there.  Mainly as an attempt to get at the picnic the kids were eating for lunch.  He likes eating real food instead of baby food.  He's even tried some Indian food (at least the sauce part) & loved it.  He has figured out a sippy cup & had his first hair trim.  I wasn't ready to buzz his whole head but I trimmed the hair just around his ears.  He has always struggled with sleeping at night & will never go back to sleep unless he nurses (or if Daddy holds him) but he has consistently been sleeping 10-12 hours only nursing once a night.  I know he's too big for even that but for him it's fabulous!

He is growing up way too fast for my liking.  He is #5 around here but it's still just as exciting & cute when he learns new things as it was with #1.

Nana & Poppie came for a week long visit & these are the 2 photos we have to show for it.  I don't know what's wrong with me!  How did I forget the camera??  I've promised myself I'll take loads at Christmas when we get to hang out with them all again.  They took the kids to the zoo & the park & we had a bonfire.  Fun times!

We have our very first family pets.  Meet Nibble & Wiggle.  Whichever one happens to be more active when we're looking in the tank is Wiggle & whichever one seems to be eating something is Nibble.  They are two tadpoles which better turn into two frogs (& not two giant lockness monsters).  I don't know if they really count as pets because I just wanted to observe their metamorphosis & once that happens we will probably release them into the wilds of Springfield =)  But for now they're pets.  It counts because we've named them & we feed them.

Nana & Poppie were here during General Conference.  Always a favorite weekend around here.  I loved President Monson & President Uchtdorf & President Eyring's talks the most I think.

We also decorated for Halloweeeen!

Hyrum wraps up his first season of soccer (or of any sport) tomorrow.  He loves it.  And I love that he loves it & is willing to try new things.  Good job Hyrum!

Home

Some pictures we've taken since we've been home from our big trip this summer.  Love being home!
