First haircut for the Mr.

I am a bit OCD about my boys' hair. I like it SHORT, especially around the ears & the back/bottom. If I let myself I would cut their hair every 2 weeks. But that's a bit too obsessive. Justin's has been bugging me for about a month or two! So I did something about it today & he looks so handsome! (& he didn't mind it a bit)

But don't worry, I'm planning on letting Emma's hair grow long :)

ps Justin rolled over for the first time onto his belly today. It's because he lost his bottle & was trying to get it back. I really thought he would skip that whole thing because of his strong feelings against being on his tummy & I doubt he'll ever roll over that way again!

I love how Hunter says the word favorite = fravwrit, I especially love the 'r' after the 'f'. For example, 'Chick chicks & Rusteze are my fravwrit race cars-kachow!' (aka Chick Hicks & Lightning McQueen)

I also really like that when he doesn't want to eat something he says 'I just too busy now' with a woe is me look. I laugh inside & then say 'yup you're too busy eating your green beans.'

I love that he's so concerned about Miss Emma. If she crawls close to where he thinks there is a spider web, he freaks out because he thinks she'll get stuck in it. And when we're getting in the car to go somewhere he always says 'Wait for Miss Emma Mommy!' I'd like to say I've never forgotten one of my children anywhere yet much to my pride & my Mom's astonishment (haha Mumsie!)

I love Miss Emma's two little teeth poking up out of her gums! I love how she sometimes crawls over to me & climbs up on me & wants me to hold her & snuggle her. She is NOT a snuggler, that independent little Miss. So I gotta take advantage of those times.

I love how Hyrum likes learning new words & then using them in sentences. The other day,

"Mommy when we get home I'm going to quit my lunch & my quiet time' Then he looked at me with a 'so there!' look. Riiiiight :) Or 'Mommy, look, I completed my sandwich!' Or 'Mommy I love Justin infinity' - well maybe that one does make sense!

I love that even though the breathing treatments have begun again & Justin hates them, he will stay calm IF I sing 'Five Little Ducks' (ok that video is a bit creepy) over & over again. When I stop he starts crying, if I try to sing a different song he starts crying. Let me tell you it's a great song but do you know how many times I'm singing that in one day around here? I'll count tomorrow & let you know.

I love that when he's sitting & wants me to pick him up he'll lean his head as far as he can towards me & start flapping his arms. How can I resist???

We've been doing spontaneous geography lessons around here. The boys seem to really like it. When they're playing with their cars or animals, it's fun to hear them say they're taking them to Utah, Australia, China, Tasmania, the Atlantic Ocean or Machu Picchu (some of their fravwrits) I was informed that tomorrow we are going to play Baby Tasmanian Devil-sounds all cuddly eh?

I love how great these two get along. Don't get me wrong, they can fight like crazy (every day it seems) but in between they get along smashingly well. I've even let Hunter have his quiet time with Hyrum in Hyrum's room & they have a blast together. Just tonight Hunter asked me if he could give Hyrum a kiss, um...yes! Smooch!

7 Months + 2 days

As of Wednesday my babes are 7 months old!

To celebrate I said goodbye to my good old friend, the breast pump. That's right, I pumped for 7 months! I wanted to pump for 12 but I told myself at least 2 so I did a good job compromising with myself.

The babies have been celebrating by being slimy, crusty, coughy, & wheezy with colds :(

Best friends in the making

There's quite the little bond between these two & he can sure make her laugh!

Emma has also been celebrating her 7 month bday by pulling herself up to standing on everything. My favorites have been the wall, a kitchen chair & the scary fireplace. At times like these Hunter's bed becomes a great play-pen, especially if the Bug joins in on the fun.

(Elaborate gate system, here we come! And yes Hunter still sleeps in a crib. He still doesn't climb out of it! Lucky me! Notice the stylish teeth marks?)

On the way home from the temple last week we visited with Ruth & Lee & they fed us yummmmmmmy enchiladas! Thanks guys!

On looking over this post I have noticed 3 things:

1. Our house is in complete disarray most of the time

2. My children are oftentimes in their pajamas all day long or in the nude

3. The twins are so, so, so slobbery. I regularly change them 3 times a day. We do a lot of

laundry around here these days.

I love how Hunter will pretend he's Rusteze (aka Lightning McQueen) & say 'KA-CHOW!' & then show me how super fast he can run around the house.

He loves to sing in the car & will sing the same 3 words over & over & over & over & over again in major monotone but to him it's great music & I like it too.

We've been reading 'Jungle Book' a lot this week because Darlin' & Pa sent us some new books. I was reading the part about how Sher Kahn (the tiger) is afraid of Mowgli because he thinks he'll grow up to be a hunter someday. Hunterbug said 'That's just like me! I'm a Hunter too!' I decided not to tell him what kind of hunter they were talking about :)

Today Hunter said 'I'm nice to Hyrum because Hyrum is my friend' Awww..

Hunter was jumping on my bed while I was getting ready for Enrichment a few nights ago. When I was done I jumped on the bed & pretended to faint. He hopped down, laid on my arm & said 'I like you'. You probably had to of been there but it was so sweet! When I tell my kids I love them they'll say 'I love you too' in response but they rarely say something like that on their own.
