After the Falls we were able to go to Palmyra, New York. I have always wanted to go there and never thought I would! We saw the printing shop where the Book of Mormon was first printed, we toured a couple of the homes that the Smith family lived in and we were able to walk through part of the Sacred Grove. That was the best part for me.We decided to go back home through Ohio instead of Canada and were able to go through Kirtland too. We took a tour of the temple there and walked through the Kirtland village. Hyrum did pretty well considering so much driving and lack of sleep :) Thank goodness for a portable DVD player, the Curious George movie, lots of books, and of course Pa and Darlin'!!!!

Awesome Pictures!! I am jealous I really want to go to some off the church history sites. Must of been fun been to have your parents there.
I am jealous too! This is a life goal of mine-- to see all of the church history sites. Even the pictures of the Sacred Grove, give me chills!
Wow! Ever since moving to Ohio, that has been a goal of ours as well!! I loved seeing 'sneak preview' pictures of all those sites, and can't wait to go there myself! Thanks for sharing such great memories with us! It's crazy to think that you and your parents were only two hours away from us! :) Tell them hi for me!!
Ya, well done. As I said Palmyra is a totally different story in the Sping or Fall....beautiful, ah!You can sit and enjoy the green around.
