Hyrum loves his "amals" or animals as most of us call them. He didn't used to care much for them but the last few months he has taken a great liking. He seems to have a different favorite depending on the week. He enjoys reading them books, taking naps together and having them come to dinner or lunch with him. He has even tried to change their diapers :)

Are you sure that Hyrum hasn't just named all of his stuffed friends "Amal"? Has he been hanging out with Muslims?
Hyrum, you are going to be a great big brother. Do the amals like peas or carrots?
Meg, I think you should tell Hyrum you are having an amal and then he'll just love his baby brother.
