We had our first family sleep over last Tuesday night. I was telling Jeremy how at BYU some of my roommates and I would drag our mattresses into the living room and sleep out there sometimes or sleep on the couch and how it would be fun to do that with our kids once in a while. We did exclude Hunter from this one but hopefully he will forgive us someday! It started with Jeremy taking Hyrum to the 'castle' park for almost two hours to play, then I read him some books and we popped popcorn and got out some chocolate to eat while we watched 'Tarzan'. Hyrum got really sleepy around 9:30 and just wanted to cuddle. So we got out the blow-up mattress and I slept with him on that and Jeremy slept on the couch. I didn't sleep the best that night but it was fun and Hyrum was really excited to be able to stay up later- (since he usually goes to bed at 7 and didn't go to bed until 10:30 that night!) I hope this sticks as a tradition.

Fun! That is such a great idea. I always loved our mattress in the living room sleepovers and talking until 2am!
Good times, good memories. Definitely a tradition to start.
That was SO fun back in the day! What a great idea to make it your family tradition. Maybe we'll have to try that one, too!
I just found your blog off of someone elses... You can check out our blog at http://rdmkshoop.blogspot.com/
Thats fun, having a sleep over. With our kids older, sometimes we have a night where they tuck us in and they stay up later, they think thats pretty cool.
So Fun!!!! I should do that with Abram. What a good idea!
At least no duck was thrown in through the window this time! (This is D by the way)
Sounds like fun! You're such a great mom...the sacrifices you make! Your kids will love you so much for creating such fun memories with them, even at the expense of a sleepless night... and wE all know how valuable sleep is! You're awesome!
Please... can we make that a tradition for our family? What a great idea!!! It's also funny about how our kids give parks and playgrounds names... usually from what they look like. Our little Brynne plays at a "Castle" park in CA from time to time.
I love this idea! When Ry and I were first married, we even set up our little two-person tent in our front room one time ... it was so fun to act like we were camping! haha ... sounds kind of silly now. But I'm excited to do it again when Logan's bigger! :)
What a fun idea! We'll have to try to do that with Michael someday. :)
That is sooo much fun! Oh my heck, Hyrum's hair seems to get redder and redder! Ethan and I had a sleepover out in our livingroom the other night! It was great talking to you the other day!
