The last 2 weeks have flown by (the twins will be 6 wks on Mon!) with my mother-in-law here to help & play. We are so grateful she could come especially since she has a lot going on right now. It was so nice to have her to talk with throughout the day, the boys loved an extra playmate, she finished two beautiful baby quilts while here, & she is definitely a professional baby rocker :) We will miss you Nana!

So the nursing thing...not so much unfortunately. I gave up on nursing & am pumping and then giving them my milk that way. They get 50-75% from me and the rest from formula & I'm not sure how long I'll keep this up, at least until about 2 months and then we'll re-evaluate (that's about when my help will be gone). I had a really hard time with this at first but now I feel like this is what's right for some reason. I was worried that people would judge me for not breastfeeding my babies & not trying harder etc. etc. I think I would have tried longer if these were my first babies but I feel like I have so many other things (and little people) to take care of that this is just what's going to work. It's funny, I think everything I've ever said about having and raising kids so far I've had to take back. For example, I said my kids would NEVER eat mac n' cheese or chicken nuggets or other "unhealthy" foods like that-yeah RIGHT! It makes me laugh remembering I said things like that. And no we don't eat those things all the time, but we definitely eat them. Well, I always said I was going to nurse each of my kids until they were 12 months, so it shouldn't be a surprise it's not working out that way :)One good thing? Drinking milk can be a family affair-Hyrum is the biggest helper!
P.S. I LOVE having these babies in our home!

So adorable! You look fantastic! I need to come and meet them before this one comes out! I especially like the action shots...more so the matching outfits...whoever picked those out must have good taste :)
Your babies are beautiful! Lucy wants a play date with Emma (actually, I just really want to see you)!
ALL of your kids are beautiful!!! Seeing your family always makes me happy! :) What a fun visit to have Nana there! I bet the boys love having all these wonderful visitors!
I'm sooo proud of you for even trying nursing the twins! That would be incredibly difficult. I always struggle learning to nurse ONE. You are totally rocking this Megan! You look soo pretty too!
Your babes are super cute and DO NOT worry about the nursing thing...you have to do what is right for YOU. Sometimes, it's so easy to judge when we aren't the ones doing the work. I've known lots of smart, bright and beautiful formula fed babies. What's most important is a sane and happy mother:)
AMEN Emily!!
I can't believe how big they are getting! So cute. Don't stress about the the nursing thing. Just do what is right for you. Love ya!
I totally agree with what your friend Emily said. Lee was raised completely on a bottle and I think he turned out great! It gets so hard sometimes with two little boys and infant twins! Hey, did I ever send you a thing to get free stuff? I got two free cases of formula with my girls, and then some great diaper coupons--even a few free ones! I will have to find it and send it to you. There are just a bunch of different offers for families with multiples. I love the pictures!!!! You look great. And YAY for 6 weeks!
I'm glad to see that you still have a lof of helpers around. That is so nice that Jeremy's mom could come after your mom. They are very beautiful, They have very different looks though (the twins). Maybe they'll look more alike as the get older, maybe not. Give me a call when you get a chance. I'd love to chat with you (I tried to call-I'm sure you got my message). Wow, the breast feeding two thing sounds like it has been very difficult for you. I hope that you are getting some sleep and good rest.
So true, what you said about parenting! ;) You've given it your best shot, and that's what matters.
I'm glad you were able to have more help for a couple more weeks! I knew (from watching my friend here with twins) you were going to need it!
Fun pictures, as usual! And, isn't it great to have a four-year-old around? (Okay, most of the time, I guess I should say!) ;)
