7 Months + 2 days

As of Wednesday my babes are 7 months old!

To celebrate I said goodbye to my good old friend, the breast pump. That's right, I pumped for 7 months! I wanted to pump for 12 but I told myself at least 2 so I did a good job compromising with myself.

The babies have been celebrating by being slimy, crusty, coughy, & wheezy with colds :(

Pretty Miss Emma

Check out those legs!!! They're amazing! And check out that sneaky grin..love it!

Best friends in the making

There's quite the little bond between these two & he can sure make her laugh!

Emma has also been celebrating her 7 month bday by pulling herself up to standing on everything. My favorites have been the wall, a kitchen chair & the scary fireplace. At times like these Hunter's bed becomes a great play-pen, especially if the Bug joins in on the fun.

(Elaborate gate system, here we come! And yes Hunter still sleeps in a crib. He still doesn't climb out of it! Lucky me! Notice the stylish teeth marks?)

The little mister loves to be held (ahem...ALL THE TIME!) Hyrum likes to hold him, works for us!

What if Mommy forgets to take a shower the night before & can't wait until 5:30pm when Daddy gets home to get ready?

There's been a lot of reading,

puzzling,

the ever favorite building of pillow houses,

and the new favorite, building of bristle-blocks, indoors because it is so stinkin' HOT! (trying not to complain about the heat, trying not to complain about the heat!!!!!)

Friends:
We got to see our good friends, the Curtis family, from dental school on their way to their new home!

Levi was Hyrum's first best friend in good old AA

On the way home from the temple last week we visited with Ruth & Lee & they fed us yummmmmmmy enchiladas! Thanks guys!

On looking over this post I have noticed 3 things:

1. Our house is in complete disarray most of the time
2. My children are oftentimes in their pajamas all day long or in the nude
3. The twins are so, so, so slobbery. I regularly change them 3 times a day. We do a lot of
laundry around here these days.

Oh Megan!!! Your kids are SO SWEET!!! Seeing all of you makes me so happy. What a beautiful family! I can't believe the twins are 7 months old. They are getting so big and its easy to tell what good friends they are.

I always love reading your blog! It makes me feel like we're not all so far away :) Miss you!!

Your family is so sweet! Who cares if the house is a mess, as long as the children are happy, right? Love y'all!

You made it longer than me. 4.5 months of pumping for the twins. Nursing one is so much easier...well everything is easier with one.
You are doing an amazing job. I was a basketcase for the first year or so with my twins. Oh and we are all excited about Havalah and Briggs news!!

A day in the life! You are amazing, all 6 of you. We love to see pictures of your happy little family.
No more pumping, I still miss that sound (just kidding)- you did get a lot of reading done that way!! Way to hang in there, Meg.

I'm SOOO impressed that you pumped for that long (I only lasted 3 weeks before the sleep deprivation won out). Aren't pillow (and blanket) forts the best!! All the kids are SO cute...ya done good.

And don't feel bad, I only have the twins, and there are numerous days that they don't make it out of their PJs!

SEVEN MONTHS!!! Wow! How wonderful! And that is fantastic that you pumped for so long. I was SO glad to be done pumping for Elden--and that was for only two months! Your house looks great--a wonderful place for young minds to soak up adventure and creativity! You guys are great parents. It was so fun to see you a couple weeks ago!

I second everyone's comments about pumping for 7 months! I had to pump and bottle feed my first for a couple of weeks before he could latch right and I had a hard time. You are superwoman! You make it look so easy :)

The important part is that they are having fun! I have been trying to teach Aubriel the importance of picking up after yourself, but I am having serious doubts about whether it is worth it! :)
