Perfect Thanksgiving
I've never been the biggest fan of Thanksgiving. Of course it's fine, anything that let's my husband off of work right? But it's always been kind of low on my holiday totem pole. But something happened this year & I've decided I love it. Maybe the food tasted extra good, maybe it was because my entire family was together & I loved having it at our house. Maybe it's because my two older kids are really grasping the whole idea of what blessings are & had a much easier time doing our turkey box. I dunno but I had a blast this last week.
Picture overload.
Farm Park for a family picture. It was freezing! But at least the ducks got their exercise in for the week.
As if pie wasn't enough...a quick trip to Andy's
Darlin with the Shakespear kids
The MEN of the family. I really, really like this picture.
Sidewalk art contest & fun in a tunnel. My claustrophobic self did not join in that party.
I was planning a bonfire at a campground nearby but the weather did not cooperate. It would have been way too cold with all these little kids so we improvised & did a bonfire in our fireplace & roasted hot dogs & 'smores. It was so fun & we're planning on doing that again soon. Much cozier this way. Hyrum wrote bonfire on a piece of paper & then taped it up on the fireplace-so cute.
Dallen met his cousin Thomas. And he ate his first marshmallow & loved it. Looks like he will join the rest of our family with our sweet tooth. Or our sweet teeth?
This is the cutest picture of Jackson. He has just recently been potty trained & hopefully that will carry some weight around here when we start poop camp III AND IV around here...so dreading it...
My parents are the best grandparents a girl could ask for. They are just so great with our kids! I just have to say it.
Wrestling match with Uncle Lu. He deserved it of course. Can't wait till all 8 of these grandsons get really big & strong & really take Uncle Lu down. That will be worth watching =)
Zac, Joy & Thomas
Brigg & Hava in their post Thanksgiving stupor.
I did Andrew's hair. Well he helped.
Big kid table for the feast
Smallish kid table
Impromptu birthday song for Pa
(Birthday is in July but we won't be able to all get together again for a couple of years so we wanted to celebrate it now)
Cutest picture of Luke-that boy loves cars & trains
All 8 grandsons & 2 granddaughters. Come on Brigg & Hava we need to even things out a bit!
Pie eating contest!
(good grief Hyrum looks so old in this picture)
And, jumping right into the Christmas season Bass Pro style
It was so fun to all be together! Thanks for letting me steal all of your pictures too!

Wow, how fun Megan! That is so great that ALL of you were together at your house! You are going to have to let me know about potty training! Is Jeremy taking off work at all? Hope all is well..happy early Christmas!
Thanks for an amazing time, it was so much fun to be together! Love you all!!
Oh I am so glad you caught the Thanksgiving bug! It is for sure one of my favorite holidays!! You sure have a lot to be thankful for! What an amazing family :)
What an amazingly pathetic blogging friend I am! I am alive, really. I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't read your amazingly fun blog for about nine months now! Why is that? Oh, hmm...baby. But, I was so excited for us both having babies at the same time again, so I still don't get how that happened. Guess that's what life does to you sometimes, eh? So, anyway, I'm loving seeing picts of you and your family again, and I'm so thrilled you've joined the ranks of Thanksgiving lovers. ;) What fun to have all your family around and to have gotten tons of great pictures to boot! All your kiddos are total cuties--although Hyrum's definitely looking way too grown up. ;) Ah, darling Dallen! He too looks grown up compared to my N. N's hair is more like cousin Thomas's. ;)
Happy Holidays, dear Shakespears!
