POOP CAMP IV

Well it's begun!  I can't believe this is our 4th time.  Justy is the cutest kid & so fun to be around.  He can also be a bit tricky so after we potty trained Emma (who has been our hardest by far) I needed a big long break, expecting Justy to be hard to train.  So we took a 3 month break.  And I almost talked myself out of doing it again.  He has been so easy so far (ok we're only in the 2nd half of the 1st day)  He puts up no fights at all & is excited to do it.  He does it all himself, isn't afraid of the toilet & has even started telling us already when he needs to go.  Thank you Justy!

Let me share my two bits of advice in my very limited amount of experience in potty training kids.

1. Wait until they're 3 or preferably 3 & 3 months or 3.5 years old.  Seriously.  Hyrum was exactly 3.5 when we trained him & he had a grand total of 3 accidents.  Ever.  Impressive I know. Hunter was exactly 3 & he had accidents here & there until he was 3 & 3 months old & then he stopped having them.

2.  Set the timer & make them go every 40ish minutes & don't let them off until they go.  This really helps a lot the first couple of days.

Throwing away his very LAST diaper!!  And doing the happy pee dance...

We love you Mister!

YAY!!!! I totally agree about the 3 year-old thing. All of mine potty-trained for about a week and in general did great after that. So glad it is going. One left to go. And it's nice because you don't have to think about #5 for a LONG time!

3&1/2?? I dunno if I agree with you there. You have a bunch of boys, so that makes a diference, I'm sure, but if we had waited until all our girls were 3&1/2, it would have added a total of about 5 years of diaper changing on to our lives.

Love your post!!

I can't do the potty training stuff..I just wait till they want to start going on the toilet..

Now that being said Olivia just started going right after age 2.

Now, with Cruz he probably won't do it so I'm not sure what I'll do?? He already wears the biggest diaper size at 18 months..oh brother!
