Life Lately
Nana came to visit for a week & to check out our new digs. We spent most of our time just playing at home with the kids. One day we did venture out to Hug Point & even saw a few star fish & sea anemone's. I think we've convinced her to come back in August when the weather is warmer!
Hyrum lost one of his upper front teeth - just in time for Christmas! The other day he said the coolest thing to me. "Mommy I wish I had two lives. One just for reading & a second one for all the other stuff." I couldn't have said it better myself Hyrum! That's exactly how I feel!
We picked Nana up at the airport in Portland & we finally went to Powell's bookstore. I think it's the biggest bookstore in the country & I have never been even though I grew up in this area. It was vast & impressive. We spent the majority of our time in the kids section-it'd be fun to go back just Jeremy & I. We ate lunch at Habibi's-highly recommend their chicken kabob or the meat mezza. Yummmm...
Sadly Halloween has come & gone. I love Halloween because we all have an excuse to dress up as something we're not & go to lots of parties. That's why I love it. We had a preschool party & a party with church friends & a ward party. That was enough partying for this family & only went trick or treating to one house. We got so much candy the kids happily donated almost all of it to the school to send overseas to some of our troops. I was happy to see it go since I seem to have a hard time leaving the Reese's pb cups alone =)
Happy twinners
I've been enjoying my time volunteering at Hyrum & Hunter's school every week. Jeremy's schedule is relaxed enough this year that it makes it possible for me to do it. Although I come home every week exhausted with a headache it sure helps me appreciate teachers so much more. They are absolutely amazing!!! I only go for 3 hours a week I don't know how they do it every day all day!
We have had a huge "crop" of giant mushrooms in our yard-they are crazy big!
We've had a gorgeous fall! I keep waiting for all the rain & wind everyone warns us about. Haven't really seen it yet. I'm sure it's coming though...
Justy got his first bee sting at the temple grounds a few weeks ago. You can't really tell in this picture but the bee got his finger. The bee wouldn't leave him along & when it started going inside his ear Justy tried to yank it out. Poor kid was beyond upset! He & Hyrum are the only kids that have been stung. It took me until I was like 24 years old to get stung & it was only the one time.
Pumpkin patch time complete with a train & boat ride (featuring a sea monster)
First (and last I hope?) 3D movie. It was about sharks & pretty cool. Does 3D make anyone else feel like they're cross eyed? I can't stand it!!!!!!! I just watched it fuzzy instead.
At the Maritime bazoonium (museum) that we have been promising Justy we would go to for the last four months.
The coolest part was touring a real boat that was used as a lighthouse for years & years. It stayed moored out in the sea & they would ship the crews back & forth. Here are the kids trying out the bunk beds. Maybe we should get a couple.
One of our preschool friends had a birthday!
Hyrum sitting in our favorite tree at Young's River Falls
This is Dallen's best friend Jaron. They are awesome together & get into all sorts of mischief.
Double help in the kitchen
This is Dallen's favorite game. It's amazing how long he'll sit & put the pegs in the holes. He wakes up completely cranky from his nap on most days but it's nothing Battleship & a Costco fruit snack can't cure-luckily for me!

What a great time you guys have been having! I love all things you do. How fun too that Jeremy's mom was able to visit. I drove by Powell's bookstore this summer, but never went in. I did get a picture though if that counts for anything, ha ha. You all look great! Happy Thanksgiving!
Love all the pics, such a sweet family!! See you soon.
