Walking back in style
Ever since Jeremy and I were dating one of our most favorite things to do was to take walks together. That tradition has continued with the addition of two children. Well, being here in Michigan, we can't have family walks regularly because winter lasts for 8 months out of the year. But the last week or two we have enjoyed GORGEOUS weather and have been taking advantage of it as often as we possibly can. The last 3 Sundays we have gone on 1-2 hour walks and we have been picking a couple of new parks each week to play at. Bring on the sun!

The other day I asked Hyrum what Daddy did during the day and he replied "Daddy goes to school" then I asked him what Mommy does. He paused, then smiled and said "In the chicken!!!" (translation, chicken = kitchen) Then I asked what does Hyrum do and he said "In the chicken too!" so here is proof that Hyrum does help in the kitchen. We made star and heart shaped biscuits today and they were a hit!

Hey, Megan. I must say that your "bloggin buds" list is extremely long... No wonder you don't have time for your old college bud. :)

Do you find, on these walks that your husband tends to step on things a lot? He's got those big, duck-like feet and those monstruous, evil-chicken-like legs. I'm surpised he hasn't trampled one of your kids yet.

We too love family walks...Brax always asks like every night, "is it time for a family walk?" Pretty funny, we are not as adventurous as you though! Love the in the kitchen comment! See you soon, Jen

What a fun family activity and tradition! Nick and I just found a fun walking trail (a real live 'nature preserve') behind our house. You guys should come try it out some time - it's just right behind the tennis courts. Be sure to bring lots of bug spray though...
