We had Christmas last Saturday here in Ann Arbor. We had it early because we were going to spend Christmas with my family in Pittsburgh (long story short, my parents flight was canceled but are coming out today so we are now having Christmas in Pittsburgh this coming weekend) Hyrum actually understood what was going on this year and got up at 2:30 am and kept getting up until we gave up around 5:15 and started our day. I found a bball hoop and a play kitchen on Craigslist for the boys and they both loved them BUT the favorite present by far was a big lego bucket full of matchbox cars that our friends gave us before they moved from here last summer. So Abbott family if you're reading THANK YOU! Hyrum has an amazing attention span for a 2 year old but I have never seen him play with anything for so long. All day long and the next day and the next etc. he has played with them.

More importantly, we ate a gingerbread house
We went driving around looking at lights Christmas night and this was our favorite house
We turned Hunter's chair around (2 weeks early) and yes he practically smiled the whole time he was so excited about it

So, what's with Hyrum's bum-flap. Is that to facilitate the potty-training? Interesting
My boys got a kitchen too! The love it! What a great Christmas!
Okay, we have to get our boys together, Collin got hot wheels for Christmas (his first ones, and he is almost four, what was I thinking?!) and he has been in heaven ever since! Non-stop playing with cars, it is awesome. (even Ryan can't get enough play time with them...)
Hunter is so cute in that video. He's so big! I can't believe he's going to be one!
I love all the gifts. It's great when you find things for cheap or free to give to kids that don't care about them being new and expensive.
P.S. I loved your Christmas letter. It made me miss you so much.
I liked your video of peek-a-boo. He was doing all of the work. It looks like it was a really fun Christmas for you and your boys. That is great when you can find good deals on gifts too.
Merry Christmas! Hope you had fun with the many celebrations! Great pictures.
Looks like the Shakespear family made some great Christmas memories that will not be forgotten. Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year '09!
