More Firsts

I, surprisingly, realized that today was the first day that all 4 of my kids were crying at the same time. And by crying I mean wailing; definitely a different tone. Maybe what was more surprising was that it didn't really phase me.

The babes were hungry; starving in fact. The boys were fighting over one of their many toys that magically convert into a gun.

(Question: How do little boys latch on to such violent things at such young & innocent ages?)

Yet, I could calmly go about warming up my milk in the sink & letting the boys "figure it out." Well, I count myself as lucky to be experiencing this as a first 3.3 months into being a 4-kid Mom. Just hope it doesn't happen again for another 3 or more months!

That made me laugh! It's amazing how we can manage to tune things out if we have to... they will survive the crying (and we moms will too)! I love the pictures! All of your kids are too cute!

I think that little boys are naturally drawn to things like guns and trucks, and girls dolls and dresses. It's just part of their nature. :) Good for you for surviving this first. :) Hopefully, it is only a rare occurrence. :)

Ha ha....too funny Megan Lee and I start laughing when it happens here. The other day just before Lee was going back to work, Elden threw up, someone was crying and another kid was whining about wanting a movie. All in a days work...

Thank you Megan for confirming to me that young boys are fascinated with weapons even when they aren't tempered or trained to be violent. I like to think of myself as calm and civilized but somehow my little boy just isn't.

That's awesome! Good for you, Megan!!! A week ago we had our own first: both kids screaming while we were trying to leave church. Nice.

And the boys & guns thing, I'm still in denial that it'll happen with my own baby boy! ;) I guess I should just get used to the idea, huh. . . .
