End of Summer (sort of)

As the end of summer is in sight & Hyrum starting actual school is looming (less than two weeks!) I wanted to mention our little co-op preschool we did last year for Hyrum. It was really fun-twice a week for a couple of hours each day & rotating weekly between our three homes. I enjoyed it & plan on doing it for my other kids but it's taught me one thing. I really don't think I'm made for permanent homeschooling! Not the best teacher award right here :)

Here is Hyrum with his two best buds Katelyn & Cole
(they get along sooo well)

Hunter loved it when it was at our house & would join right in with cutting, coloring, pasting, writing etc. He would cry sometimes when I dropped him off at the other homes because he wanted to go so much :(

We did have a few field trips-here's one to Jeremy's dental office where he talked to them about uh, teeth of course, they got a little check up & a bag of toothbrushes/toothpaste etc.

Here are all the kids (minus the 4 babies) at Bass Pro Shop learning about fish or really just running around screaming, let's be honest.

Courtney, me, Olivia, & Carolynn
The only sad part was when Cole & his family moved far away in March :( We miss them! Courtney was one of my favorite people in Missouri.

** On a happy & exciting note Hyrum read his very first book "See Pip Point" last Saturday!!! He has read two other books this week as well. He's been reading simple words for a while actually but for some reason I've never had him try a book. I thought he would get frustrated but he was smiling in between every word. I'm so proud!! And so glad that he loves it. He's getting better & better every day.

It's crazy that school is starting!!! I hope that you and Hyrum have a fantastic year! Our school starts next week on the 23rd...crazy! The boys are going to try out the bus this year. I will see how it goes. Lee has been open for three days and has seen about 8 people so far! Sounds like it's increasing too! We are settling in and we are liking the ward. The people out in our area are especially nice!

Way to go HYRUM and good luck in school. Hopefully you can find something fun for Hunter to do while he's gone.
