Dallen's #1
Well the baby is not so much a baby but a toddler now! Happy 1st birthday Dallen Bear!!!
This kid sure brings a lot of life & fun into this home. Everyone around here sure loves this kid!
It's pretty impossible to pick a favorite stage but if I had to pick it would be just turning 1. I la-love it when they're learning to walk & talk & have such little personalities but all while still looking like a baby. Hyrum taught Dallen to say 'Mom' & we have all taught him how to say 'No' & he says it a lot. When he's getting into something he knows he's not supposed to & sees me coming he starts saying 'NoNoNo'-haha

Presents. This kid, like all the other ones, is obsessed with books. Especially David Shannon books but really all of them. He will pick one & come toddling towards me with the book stretched out as far as he can stretch it while muttering & babbling a mile a minute. Then he turns around & scoots into my lap & starts waving his arms-I guess that means 'let's read'. It is the cutest thing. I just can't say no to that & no matter what I'm doing I read him that book right then. Some days that's about all I do!
He never did touch the cake he was all about the plentiful frosting & cookie ears.
Hyrum made the cutest book for Dallen. It's a flip book & all about Dallen. I didn't put the whole book on here but I wanted to remember this-so sweet.
This picture makes me a little sniffly. Why do they have to grow up so fast?!?! So frustrating! No wonder some people have a dozen children, it's like you just don't want some things to end but I guess most things have to. I hear grand kids are cool but it just can't be the same. And that's far away in the fuzzy future for this family.
I sure love this picture & the baby in it a lot. Even though we thought we were nuts I'm so grateful we had the faith to trust the Lord when we knew it was time for another baby to come to our family. Ever since he's arrived it's been so easy to see why he needed to come!

Reading this post makes me sooo excited to meet our baby #3!! Dallen is such a cutie and looks like he has such a great little personality! It is so sad they grow so fast, but I love every stage, and can't imagine when I'll be "done" having babies. That will be a sad, sad day! Love how sweet you are about your kiddies. :)
