April 2015 in pictures

April was an exciting month!  We purchased a home, moved into that home & have settled in pretty well.  We hope to never move again until we're moving into a nursing home or something :) It feels so normal & right to be living here.  We love it!
April was also sad because we had to say goodbye to our best friends here as they moved to Idaho :(  Dallen & their 3 year old Jaron (they are 1 month & 2 days apart) have been the best of friends for the last 20 months.  It's pretty unusual to see kids their age be so close.  We will miss them a lot!

Celebrating Jaron's 3rd birthday

Egg huntin'!

I love this picture of my 3 youngest

We enjoyed General Conference as usual this month - lots of great messages from our Prophets & Apostles

Hyrum has some super hard music to practice for his up coming recital

Over the threshold picture!  Courtesy of Hunter Shakespear photography :)

We got the keys to the place on April 5th but didn't actually move in until April 18th.  It was actually really nice to have two weeks to slowly take things over, get the carpet cleaned etc.  First selfie in the new place :)

Exploring the new home!

Girls night at Himani Indian Cuisine to say goodbye to Amy.  The owners were so nice & let us stay like 30 minutes past closing time.

We got the book Elmer at the library & read it & read it & read it & read it & read it again.  Boy they really like that book.

Dallen drew a picture for Jeremy one day.  I know I'm biased but I think Dallen has mad coloring/drawing skills.  The kid colors perfectly in the lines & uses a wide variety of colors & it can hold his attention for a very long time.  It's pretty amazing.

We call this treat "a sweet ride"

Found the complete hardback set of HP!!! For 25 bucks at Goodwill in perfect shape!

We made this art project for preschool - it was fun.  Oh yeah, I taught preschool during our Big Move - that was kind of nuts.

Moving day!!!

First night in the new house

First bath in the new house - the master bedroom has a bathtub that is pretty big & the little kids have adopted it for their own

Amy gave us an apple peeler/corer for a home warming gift.  It makes eating apples that much more fun - seriously!  It's awesome.

Double rainbow over our new yard - good omen right?

Playing with Hayley

Hayley's birthday

Second ENT appointment down & we have decided to take out Hunter's adenoids & tonsils in July after school is out.  He has been a trooper this one!

Hunter found a frog friend

These two had Kindergarten round up at the school where they were able to read a book in the library, meet their teachers, ride a bus around town & sing some songs with the music teacher.  I can't believe I'll go from more kids at home than at school to all but one in school next fall!  Class of 2028!

The library is one of the favorite rooms in the house

Ninja power!  My Papa carved this cowboy & sadly it was broken in about 4 different places in the move.  I wanted to snap a picture of it since he won't be able to hang out on the counter anymore.

We inherited the Blauer's papasan chair & it has become the most coveted spot.  Luckily up to 4 or 5 people can fit in it at once - depending on your size of course :)

Sometimes it's the only way to get book lovin' kids outside on a sunny day!
