July 2016

We had a fun adventure at Soapstone Lake one weekend.  It was beautiful weather, the perfect length hike to the lake & we had fun catching newts or salamanders & exploring.  I love where we live!!!

We went to Battery Russel one weekend & saw part of the north jetty

Our first harvest from the garden :)

We borrowed a bumbo chair from a friend - she LOVES it!!

We've had warm enough weather for the sprinkler a couple times

I love having older kids that are so sweet with Eliza & so much help to me!

For the fourth of July we did our traditional breakfast with our church ward, parade in Gearhart, hanging out at home in the afternoon with my parents & fireworks with friends that night.  Eliza & I decided to stay home during the fireworks.

Our good friends the Blauer's came back to visit Seaside for a week & stayed with us. It was so fun for the kids to play with their friends & for Amy & I to talk.  I hope they come back soon!  While they were here we got our new addition to the family - the trampoline.  There could not be a better purchase ever.  It has not lost it's newness yet there is always someone out there jumping.

My cousin Karly got hitched in the Sacrament temple the first weekend in July.  Emma, Eliza & I had our first official girls trip (with my parents) to go to the wedding.  I hope it's the first of many trips for the 3 of us :)  The kids were amazing in the car - we spent one full day driving (10 hours), spent one whole day doing the sealing, luncheon & reception (it was so nice to see so many cousins I haven't seen for many, many years!) & one full day driving home.  I forgot how hard it is to travel with a baby though!

My cousin Erin, her husband Isaac & kids Mercedes, Cypress, Gavin & Juliette came to visit us after the 4th of July.  I loved having them here!  The kids got along so very well & I loved chatting the days away with Erin.  She's the best!  They just need to move closer.

Silly pictures

The 2016 Turner Family reunion was a success!  Everyone arrived at our home Thursday at noon & left in the mid afternoon on Sunday.  We spent an entire day at home playing games, we spent a day at Short Sands Beach & a day going to Hug Point & taking family pictures.  I loved seeing my kids love spending time with their cousins. We celebrated Pa & Andrew's birthdays too.  It was so wonderful to all be together again!  It's been too long.  My only complaint is that it went by too fast & I didn't take enough pictures.

We went up to Washington the weekend after the reunion for Hava & Joy's sister's wedding reception.  We went to Wagner's for lunch (Bakery), hung out by the boardwalk in downtown Oly, saw my good friend Libby, went to Cabela's, REI, the park & Tumwater Falls.  We were also there for Andrew's ordination to the Aaronic priesthood.  He had both grandpa's & all 6 uncles, all of his aunts & cousins there in one room.  So special.

Daddy loves snuggling his girl

More pictures from the reunion.  I was much too lazy to make sure all the pictures were together & in order :)  It was fun to have matching shirts! Reminds me of all the Wilson family reunion shirts back in the day.

While us girls were on our California trip the boys went on a tour of the coast guard helicopters for Cub Scout day camp & had adventures fishing & hiking.  Looks like they had fun!

Eliza went to her first birthday party - it was a dance party! She was decorated by her many adoring fans

We celebrated Harry Potter's birthday on July 31st with homemade meat pies, pumpkin pasties, butter beer & some HP games :)

July was a very full & very happy month
