Happy Birthday Hunterbug!

Yesterday Hunter turned 3! Weird because he's still my baby.

Some things we love about our Bug

-has a great sense of humor & is one of the happiest little souls

-loves to tell us about things he's done & places he's been that have actually never happened (should I be worried?)

-is very loyal

-is concerned that everyone is included, safe & not forgotten

-thrives in a routine, gets a little weirded out when the routine doesn't happen

-is a smartie pants

-loving, gives the best hugs & kisses pretty frequently & without coercion from us!

-has the best laugh in the world
-sensitive, for example...

I was on the phone & Hunter was pulling on Justin too hard so I kind of snapped at him to stop. I could tell I hurt his feelings because he ran away & slammed his door shut. Later I went in to talk with him

M: Are you mad at Mommy?

H: No

M: Are you sure you don't feel mad at me?

H: No

M: Are you sad then?

H: Yes

M: Are you sad I told you to leave Justin alone?

H: No

M: Are you sad Mommy yelled at you?

H: Yes

And then he put his head down & started to cry a little bit. I felt so bad! But the good thing about him being sensitive is it really keeps me on my toes about the yelling thing. I feel like I'm doing much better in that area. And he's so quick to forgive me when I apologize for yelling!

@12 months, the love of cars already in place

@18ish months. Picture on the right was the day I realized I really wanted boy/girl twins because Hunter was so darn cute I really wanted another boy!
