Day 3
We had a Christmas movie watching night & Jeremy made delicious fudge. He's tried to make it before but it never quite turned out but I got him the right kind of candy thermometer thing & this batch turned out fabulous! We ate too much of it that night. Next time we're tripling it so it will last longer. Although it probably won't help much.
Day 4
We watched the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional. Watch it-it was great. I love how they decorate, I love the Temple Square orchestra accompanying the MOTAB & of course the messages shared. It was just right. It gave me added motivation to make sure we have lots of Christ-centered traditions going on around the holidays. Oh & the big boys & I made pumpkin bread for a treat. Our house smelled wonderful.
Day 5
Game night with frosted zuccini cookies. Hunter is quite my little helper in the kitchen, his favorite being baking. He shredded most of the zuccini all by himself with no cuts. We played Duck, Duck Goose & Hide & Go Seek but with a Christmas twist with everyone & then a couple of board games after the twins went to bed. But as you can see from the last picture I think the favorite game was steam roller with Daddy right before bedtime. Jeremy also did a great FHE lesson about how some of the familiar Christmas things we see a lot (like candy canes, trees, stars, candles, etc.) are also symbols of something to do with the birth of Jesus Christ.
I need to do better at taking more pictures!
